Revolutionary Flood Control FloodBreak is changing traditional flood mitigation. No longer do you need to depend on power or human intervention to close flood pathways. Using hydrostatic pressure created by the rising floodwater, FloodBreak Automatic Floodgates automatically deploy when flooding begins. When the water recedes, the barrier will return to its underground, hidden location allowing normal pedestrian and vehicular traffic flow. See how it works
Why FloodBreak Automatic Floodgates have revolutionized flood mitigation Passive flood mitigation - preferred by FEMA Eliminates the flood risk associated with human intervention or power failures Permanent - around the clock flood protection Hidden underground - eliminates storage headaches and unsightly brackets Designed for long service life with minimal maintenace
Though simple in concept, FloodBreak Automatic Floodgates are a highly engineered family of products that can be customized to fit virtually any flood mitigation project. FloodBreak barriers protect pedestrian and vehicle entrances, loading docks, parking garages, community roadways and underground tunnels and rooms with vertical vents. Roadway gates are also an excellent solution for levee crossings and levee recertification. Learn how FloodBreak technology works

There are certain areas on roads/bridges where we need a few more feet to meet FEMA criteria. If we didn’t install floodgates, we would have to raise the road and the bridges but floodgates are more costâ€effective. These are completely passive, no one needs to go out there to close the gate. As the water comes up, it causes the flood gate to open, protecting the area behind it from floodwaters. - Andrea Glover, Civil Engineer, USIBWC Read meeting notes
