The Floodbreak Vent Shaft System is a unique solution for protection of underground tunnels and facilities. This system, like all of our passive systems, provides 24/7 protection from flood events at sidewalk vents. The system is designed to fit underneath a street-level vent gratingwith minimal disruption to airflow, and when the street floods, the system automatically closes and stops the water from pouring through the vent grate and damaging sensitive underground equipment such as transformers, power equipment, or transportation systems. Crucial underground facilities, protected from flood catastrophes, continue to operate as expected during extreme weather events.
